System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR — India)

The SAFAR India portal, hosted by the Ministry of Earth Science, Govt. of India and the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM), aims to provide location-specific information on air quality in real-time, as well as forecasts in combination with the early warning system on weather parameters. With the help of active collaboration with local municipal corporations, educational institutions and governmental agencies in every city, the portal aims to increase awareness among citizens regarding the air quality in their city well in advance so that appropriate mitigation measures and systematic action can be taken up.

OpenAQ is an open-source project to surface live, real-time air quality data from around the world, with a mission to enable previously impossible science, impact policy and empower the public to fight air pollution. The data includes air quality measurements from 5490 locations in 47 countries, and in particular, public data provided by government, research-grade and other sources.

Archive AQI is hosted on Central Pollution Control Board webiste for effective dissemination of Air Quality Index in public domain. The data includes daily air quality indices of 134 cities covering 23 states and union territories which are linked to the web-based system.
