Job description
The Clean Air Fund is looking to recruit a Head of Data to join their programmes team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation whose mission is to use philanthropic grants to catalyse a reduction in air pollution.
As a Head of Data with Clean Air Fund you would help to lead the portfolio of work on Global Data at Clean Air Fund to help us achieve clean air for all.
Access to air quality data is a foundational part of achieving ambitious, sustained, and robust action on air pollution. Yet, a significant proportion of the world’s population lack access to accurate information about the air that they breathe. This is particularly the case in Global South regions, where air quality is typically deteriorating and where its impacts are most severe. This role leads Clean Air Fund’s efforts to overcome these issues.
Eligibility
- Demonstrable alignment with CAF’s mission, values and goals.
- Experience in setting and delivering strategies for mission-driven organisations.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated success in building effective partnerships and networks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. A good networker with confidence and presence as a public speaker.
- Experience of working in a range of cultural and socio-economic contexts, particularly in the global south, with the ability to work collaboratively with partners located in multiple offices and time zones.
- A level of technical knowledge commensurate with a post-graduate qualification in environmental science, climate change or air quality.
About the organisation
Clean Air Fund is a global philanthropic organisation working with governments, funders, business and campaigners to create a future where everyone breathes clean air.
We fund and partner with organisations that promote air quality data, build public demand for clean air and drive policy change. We influence and support decision makers to act on air pollution. We also amplify the clean air movement’s impact by connecting people, increasing resources to the field and sharing evidence of what works.
