India Clean Air Connect is a response to air quality convenings hosted by the India Climate Collaborative, Clean Air Fund, ClimateWorks Foundation and Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation in 2019 and 2020.

About the Event
The objective of the event is to commemorate the International Day of Clean Air for blue skies in India and raise awareness on building capacities in India for air quality management, while also underscoring the progress made, and the future opportunities for improvement to build relevant capacities at various levels.
The event aims to:
- Highlight important areas that need urgent capacity building to address present-day challenges related to implementation, detailed scientific research, and financial constraints— all of which are needed for improving air quality management in the country.
- Present a comprehensive mapping of India’s Air Quality Management sector and the various direct and indirect jobs within it to enable strategic planning for the future undertaking of targeted capacity development activities as well as create new jobs in the sector.
